paIN confirm Elimination Stage spot
The first map took us to Vertigo where FlyQuest started on the CT-side with a 3-0 lead but paIN caught up quickly levelling the score at 3-0 and ended up trading their way to an even 6-6 half. kauez and nqz propelled paIN to strong start in the second half, netting a momentary 10-7 lead but FlyQuest returned the favor.
Taking the map to overtime, paIN put up a flawless CT-side, securing match point at 15-12 with a three-round buffer. FlyQuest nearly pushed the map into a second overtime but paIN recovered at the last possible second to close out Vertigo 16-14 with a brute-force A-hit.
Starting on the T-side of Inferno, FlyQuest's A-rush was mowed down by nqz as the Brazilian opened the account for paIN with a USP ace in the pistol round. A couple of MP9 spray downs in the subsequent rounds fetched paIN a solid start on the CT-side. FlyQuest managed to recover with a 5-7 half still slightly in favor of paIN.
After winning the pistol round on the CT-side, FlyQuest looked comfortable to take the anti-eco with INS dropping a 3K but snow's sneaky rifling overshadowed the Aussies as paIN stole the anti-eco. paIN got in a few more kicks before FlyQuest bought up and once the Aussies conceded the first gun round, paIN rode the momentum and closed out Inferno 13-7, booking their Elimination Stage spot.
