Rare Atom end Shanghai Major run
Rare Atom took on MIBR in the 1-2 pool at the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major's Opening Stage with their backs against eliminations. The bo3 started on Inferno with Rare Atom taking a 2-5 lead on the T-side but MIBR recovered to salvage a 5-7 half.
Rare Atom managed to secure just two rounds on their CT-side as insani and exit stepped up with 100+ ADR performances as MIBR closed out Inferno 13-9, putting the home team on the verge of elimination.
Starting on the T-side, Rare Atom suffered a 4-8 deficit on the favorable side of Anubis, leaving MIBR in a strong position to close out Ancient and stay alive in the Major but the home team was all but done, as kaze's 3K with the duelies in pistol round followed by L1haNg's MP9 4K propelled Rare Atom to a strong CT-side start.
Backed by the crowd, Rare Atom came alive, putting up an unbelievable sequence of rounds on the T-side to level the score at 10-10 as MIBR fumbled their massive T-side lead. kaze's AWP hold on A, netted Rare Atom the match point at 12-11 and somebody's 2K through the smoke with a silenced M4 on A saw Rare Atom close out Anubis 13-11, pushing the series into the decider.

Rare Atom started Ancient with pistol and anti-eco wins on the T-side but MIBR put up a formidable CT-side once the gun rounds began. The Chinese were able to secure just a couple of rounds at the start and end of the half as MIBR put up an 8-4 half. A flawless T-side saw the Brazilian side close out Ancient 13-4.
Rare Atom, the home team who qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major with a flawless RMR run, end their Major campaign in the Opening Stage of the Major after losses to MIBR, Virtus.pro and The MongolZ.
