CS2 sees an increase in average players count
Despite slapping on the banner of "full launch" in September of 2023, Counter-Strike 2 is still a work in progress, taking one step at a time towards refining the player experience in terms of gameplay. Constant modifications to the movement mechanics, parametric calculations and other hit registration modules, the game has significantly improved over the year.
In 2024, Counter-Strike 2 has received more than 60 updates that were publicly announced through patch notes out of which three of them were big updates- Call to Arms, The Armory and Train. The game even surpassed it's all time peak a while ago, hitting 1,740,261 concurrent players.
Counter-Strike 2 has seen a steady increase in concurrent players ever since the RMRs began and Train was reintroduced last month. With a 4.80% rise in concurrent players over the last month, the number has gone up by over 40,000 players compared to October.
After the Shanghai Major wrapped up, the number kept going up. When compared to the end of 2023 (October, November and December) Counter-Strike 2 has had nearly a 17% increase in the average players count towards the end of 2024 as per Steam Charts.
