CS2 hits all-time peak concurrent players

Another Counter-Strike milestone right after the Major

Fresh off of an electrifying Major, Counter-Strike has been the talking point in the esports industry with gamers all around the world praising donk for his brilliant performance at the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major and Spirit for lifting their first ever Major trophy, taking down Liquid, MOUZ and FaZe in the playoffs.

SteamDB recorded massive numbers for the game today, showing over a 1.7 million concurrent players in the game. Posting 1,740,261 concurrent players, Counter-Strike 2 hits it's all-time high in terms of peak concurrent players.

Counter-Strike 2 has seen a steady increase in concurrent players ever since the RMRs began and Train was reintroduced last month. With a 4.80% rise in concurrent players over the last month, the number has gone up by over 40,000 players compared to October.

Despite lacking content in comparison to CS:GO, Counter-Strike 2 has received regular updates to polish gameplay and address bugs with it's most recent introduction being the damage prediction feature that allows the client to calculate and render frames to give visual feedbacks on positive hits.
