OG bounce back against MOUZ at BLAST.tv Major Paris
The opening round of the major was disappointing for both OG and MOUZ, as they suffered decisive defeats against ENCE and NIP, respectively. Dropping to the 0-1 match, MOUZ and OG selected Ancient as their battleground.
MOUZ initially gained a 3-round lead with a pistol-round victory, but OG quickly found their footing with the help of degster's AWP. In round 6, MOUZ's attempt to push A was thwarted by the duo of flameZ and degster, with the latter even securing a collateral shot.
The game continued back and forth, with OG equalising the scoreline at 4-4. Both teams traded rounds, but OG's strong individual performances allowed them to edge ahead and finish the half with a 9-6 lead.
MOUZ started the second half by securing the pistol round and equalizing the score at 10-10. However, OG's stars NEOFRAG, degster, and flameZ continued to perform well, leading their team to a 13-10 advantage. Despite a few traded rounds, OG maintained a comfortable lead and reached match point at 15-11.
With determination, OG swiftly closed the match, securing a 16-11 victory and advancing to the 1-1 bracket. On the other hand, MOUZ will join Team Liquid in the 0-2 elimination games, facing a tough match to remain alive in the tournament.
