ENCE deny the MIBR upset

ENCE fends off MIBR to secure playoffs

Nertz puts up 95+ frags to carry ENCE to a close three-match win.

MIBR looking more exciting than ever after that massive upset over MOUZ, but ENCE is the critic's choice best team in the world at the moment with phenomenal strategies and in-form stars. Can the plucky Brazilians take down the International giants?

Vertigo started off with MIBR’s pistol conversions, which were followed by back-to-back NertZ rifle rounds to bring ENCE to level pegging. The teams continued back and forth with saffee, exit, and drop finding important frags round after round. The half closed out with a SunPayus 4k to give ENCE 7 in the half. Another pistol round went the way of MIBR, but ENCE brought out the Tec9s to steal round 17. Pistols were the name of the game as both teams won out force buys, staying neck and neck in the final rounds. MIBR reached 15 first, but ENCE tied it to push it into overtime.

In Overtime, every single round went back and forth till the teams once again found themselves at 18-18. But once OT2 hit, ENCE blitzed through exit’s troops to take the map.

Moving over to Anubis, ENCE looked poised to secure a 2-0 with their usual specialty on the map. But once again the two teams played close early in the half before MIBR found their fifth gear taking off to a 10-round half as Insani dropped 21 frags. Not one to be outdone, NertZ stepped into the T side and picked up 19 frags of his own. Right from the pistol, the Israeli star was fragging out, and he nearly singlehandedly ensured matchpoint for his team. Unfortunately, MIBR was ready to strike as exit clutched out back-to-back rounds to push the map to OT again. Back on the T side in OT, MIBR popped off clearing out ENCE’s defence and taking 19 to tie the series.

Final map of the series, the knife round went the way of NertZ’s Huntsman, giving his team the choice of CT on Anubis. Similarly to Anubis, MIBR found the pistol but ENCE stole away the force buy round to set themselves up for an early lead. That momentum carried them all the way to 8-2 as NertZ was absolutely dominating the server. Still, the Brazilians found success by avoiding NertZ altogether and forcing the CT side to save. A massive performance for saffee in round 14 allowed MIBR to get 5 in the half.

South American pistols just keep finding success as MIBR took the opening round once again. An A attack on the forcebuy found ENCE edge closer to a win with 11 rounds on the board. Brnz4n showed off his impeccable Deagle in round 18, but NertZ took 4 kills and dropped the 30 bomb to snatch away MIBR's upset dreams. A couple more rounds went the way of MIBR and slowly the team stepped back into the game, shutting down NertZ and hitting double digits. That delay however was enough for the rest of ENCE to wake up and Maden put the final nails in the MIBR coffin to lock in the win at 16-11.
