VICTORES SUMUS confirm GG LEAGUE PRO SERIES playoffs

The semi-final of the second GG LEAGUE PRO SERIES qualifier saw Indian team VICTORES SUMUS lock horns with Pakistani team PPeeks in a bo3 encounter. The first map took us to Dust2, where both teams traded their way to an even 6-6 first half.

Going into the second half, VICTORES SUMUS got off to a convincing start with a pistol round win and an anti-eco conversion but once the gun rounds began, PPeek locked down a solid CT-side, stringing up seven rounds in a row to close out Dust2 13-8.

PPeek started on the CT-side of Ancient with a 3-0 lead but VICTORES SUMUS quickly bounced back, levelling the score and eventually securing a big 8-4 half in their favor. Switching over, VICTORES SUMUS dropped just two rounds on their CT-side, closing out Ancient 13-6 with BENZENE topping the charts at 19 frags.

The decider was played out on Anubis where PPeeks pushed VICTORES SUMUS down to a 4-8 disadvantage in their first half and even secured the CT-side pistol round on the second half. However, VICTORES SUMUS stole the anti-eco, leaving the CT economy in an awkward spot. The Indian team toppled the CT-defense in subsequent rounds to mount a masterful comeback and close out Anubis 13-10, dropping only a couple of rounds in the second half.

With this win, VICTORES SUMUS have secured their GG LEAGUE PRO SERIES playoffs spot, becoming the second Indian team to do so. Gods Reign booked their playoffs spot through the first qualifier where they took down Pakistan's WahWah in the final. VICTORES SUMUS have set up their final game against st4rboys.
