910's AWP was a menace on Mirage

TheMongolz stun Into the Breach

Into the Breach concede Mirage, Ancient 0-2 to TheMongolz

The opening pick was Mirage, chosen by TheMongolz. TheMongolz picked up the pistol and 910 converted a 1v3 against the force buy and it was an early 4-0 lead for the TheMongolz. A double Bymas opener on the A site finally saw ITB put up their first round. A Thomas 1v2 on the A site saw ITB make it two in a row. TheMongolz won out the half early at 8-2 with 910's AWP causing a real issue for Thomas and his boys. A Techno4k double opener saw TheMongolz make it 10 T rounds and they ended with a 12-3 lead as it was another Techno4k double Galil entry on the A site.

TheMongolz reached match point in no time after securing the pistol round and a couple of follow-ups to start off the second half but ITB still had a bit of fight left in them, stringing up a couple of rounds, disturbing the CT economy off the back of which ITB put up a 5 round winning streak. Once TheMongolz got their bank back, they straight away went for a double AWP setup and closed out Mirage 16-8, going 1-0 up in the series.

910's AWP gave TheMongolz an early advantage on Mirage

Starting off on the CT-side of Ancient, after trading initial rounds, TheMongolz quickly stole a 6-2 lead and never really let the T-side economy prosper, it came down to 1v1s at times but ITB did not manage to convert these rounds early on. TheMongolz put up a formidable CT-half, converting their early lead into a massive 12-3 half, a rinse and repeat of the first map. ITB fell short when it came to individual performances and even when a site was cleared, they took a lot of time to get the C4 down, worrying about the positioning of the remaining CTs.

The second half's pistol round was the final nail in the coffin, as ITB fumbled a round that had to be won 9/10 times. In a 4v2, ITB attempted to stick the defuse with very little cover, giving an opportunity for the Ts to push in and interrupt the defuse, which they took with both hands. TheMongolz also converted the follow-up but just like Mirage, ITB showed life towards the end of the match.

bLitz put up 23 frags for TheMongolz at an ADR of 104 with a HLTV rating of 1.46

Mirage's narratives continued to repeat, as TheMongolz converted a 3v4 round to close out Ancient with a score line of 16-8 and the series 2-0, as Into the Breach crumbled under pressure, getting eliminated from the tournament. bLitz stepped up for TheMongolz with 23 frags at an ADR of 104 with a HLTV rating of 1.46 and it was NEOFRAG who stepped up for ITB with 24 frags and a HLTV rating of 1.26

TheMongolz will now face either FURIA or MONTE, with their backs still against elimination.
