Gods Reign fall to XDM in ACL 2025 Closed Qualifier opener
Gods Reign got off to a poor start in the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2025 Closed Qualifier as they went down to unranked Chinese team XDM in the upper bracket round of 16 BO1 encounter.
The BO1 headed to Anubis with Gods Reign starting on the CT side. The Chinese side's T half got off to a 5-0 start, as XDM were just sharper than the Indian team on each duel. After five rounds of getting battered, a Rossi push through dark that netted him a double opener saw Gods Reign get on the board. Aggressive mid plays saw Gods Reign salvage the half as they ended their CT half with 4 defensive rounds.

The pistol round win and its following two conversions were all that Gods Reign could manage as an upgraded pistol buy win led the way for XDM to run away with a 13-7 win with taidao putting up a strong performance, dropping 28 kills with an ADR of 126.9.
The loss now has dropped Gods Reign to the Lower Bracket, where they will face Change The Game in an elimination encounter.
