Firedup emerge victorious in the Qualifier Finals

Firedup Gaming, Team Respect Qualify for DreamHack Hyderabad

The two teams locked in their spot at the upcoming CS2 LAN, joining the invited teams in the group stage.

DreamHack Hyderabad 2023's Online qualifiers concluded today with the two semi-finals locking in the last LAN spots. Team Respect emerged victorious over Old School Esports while Firedup took down Fight 4 Fame.

Team Respect 2 - 0 Old School Esports

Team Respect kicked off the series with their pick of Ancient. Old School Esports had s1mple, -FURY and wildboy all performing well and with their CT sided start, they kept the game ultra-competitive throughout. Unfortunately, Team Respect showed their comfort in the map and with BuLL3T powering up, they took the win 13-11.

Over on their own Map Pick of Anubis though, OSE fell completely flat, barely mustering any rounds and taking a 13-2 beatdown. Team Respect locked in their LAN spot with a 2-0 win.

Firedup Gaming 2 - 0 Fight 4 Fame

The second semi-final was even more one sided, starting off on Nuke with Firedup getting the CT sided start. ghost and Catastrophe went huge combining for 36 frags in the 13-3 domination. Their own map pick got a bit closer but Fight 4 Fame were very much on the backfoot throughout as ChAmP took his turn to shine and secure their ticket to Hyderabad.

Firedup Gaming 13 - 10 Team Respect

The two qualified teams then battled it out in a BO1 final to decide who is the Qualifier champion and set their seeding. An ultra-close bout on Vertigo was largely decided by ghost's massive 37 frag haul to lock in Firedup's win.

  • Marcos Gaming (Invited)
