Ph1NNN leads Gods Reign's comeback
The second semi-final of the Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters 10 saw Gods Reign take on Marcos Gaming in the BO3 encounter with the action kicking off on Marcos' pick of Mirage.
Marcos kicked things off with the T-sided pistol and a couple of crucial rounds right at the end saw them secure a two-round lead at 7-5. Marcos locked in both pistols on Mirage and were up 9-5 before Gods Reign's T side finally got going. Gods Reign quickly tied up the game at 9-9. After a back and forth affair, it was Marcos Gaming pipping Gods Reign 13-11 to start the series with a 1-0 lead.
Gods Reign started their pick of Anubis with the CT pistol but Marcos answered with the force to keep the score even, early on. Gods replied back with a force of their own and went 4-1 up. Marcos got the ball rolling, with six consecutive T rounds before Gods Reign got a fifth in the final round of the half. The second half pistol and a clean conversion against the eco saw Gods Reign tie up the score. It was another tight encounter but with Ph1NNN and captain Bhavi leading the way for Gods Reign, they got across the line at 13-11 to take us to a decider.
Gods Reign started the decider on Inferno with a clean CT pistol. f1redup powering up with the AWP early on saw Gods Reign go 5-1 up before Marcos stole away around on an upgraded pistol buy. f1redup, Ph1NNN and R2B2 powered Gods Reign to a 8-4 lead. Gods Reign made it two-out-of-two pistols on Inferno but Marcos answering with force kept the score close. Gods Reign eventually hung on for a 13-10 win to complete the turn around, going 2-1 in the series to secure the Grand Final spot.
