f1redup heroics go in vain as Gods Reign gets eliminated from MRQ
Gods Reign's run in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Asia Regional Qualifiers has come to an end at the hands of Chinggis Warriors in the Consolidation Final with the Indian team going down 0-2 to see their dreams of making it to the Major get dashed.
The Bo3 began on Ancient, the map pick of Gods Reign, with them starting on the T-side. After losing the pistol round, Gods Reign responded once the buy rounds came in, narrowing the score to 2-3. However, aside from a heroic round by f1redup, they struggled to capitalize further and ultimately fell with a 3-13 score line.
The second map, Inferno, followed a similar narrative. Once again, it was a one-man effort as f1redup gave it his all. Despite his impressive 1.58 rating, it was in vain, as Gods Reign faltered once more on the T-side and suffered a 5-13 defeat.
While the loss marks the end of the road for Gods Reign, Chinggis Warriors moves into the Grand Final and will take on their compatriots Eruption with the winner securing a spot at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
