ATOX loses to Vitality in the Opening Round
In the ESL Pro League Season 20 Group D upper bracket quarter-final, Monoglian squad ATOX faced the current world's #2 team Vitality in a BO3.
ATOX's map pick, Inferno, shaped up to be a tight race early on, with both teams tying the score at 6-6. Although Annihilation went toe-to-toe with ZywOo, it wasn't enough, as Vitality took the first map 13-11, picking up a narrow win right at the end of regulation.
The second map on Nuke was a different story. It started out as a bloodbath, with Vitality crushing ATOX's defense to secure a 9-3 lead in the first half. The onslaught continued into the second half, as Vitality claimed the map with a dominant 13-7 win.
ATOX now have dropped to the lower bracket and will face the loser of the Falcons - FURIA match.
