StarLadder reveals key details about StarSeries 2025

StarLadder has unveiled key details for the StarSeries CS2 Tournament 2025, that will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from September 13th to 21st, 2025.

The offline tournament will feature a combined total of 20 teams, 16 in Group Stage and 4 in Main Event, with a minimum prize pool of $500k. Invites issued will be based on Global VRS rankings, starting from the top ranked team. StarLadder will host two separate Online Qualifiers with their dates yet to be announced, one for SA and NA region, and one for Europe.

Four teams from the Online Qualifiers will advance to the Group Stage scheduled for September 13-17, 2025, where they will meet 12 VRS based invited teams. The Group Stage will follow a GSL stlye format with play-in matches, where the first-place teams from each group will face the second-place teams to advance to the Main Event.

The Main Event will occupy a total of 8 teams, 4 Qualifying through Group Stage and 4 teams directly VRS-invited with the highest VRS rating, and will run from September 18-21, 2025. It will follow a double-elimination BO3 format.
