Skyesports updates 2025 calendar

Only one T1 event to take place

Skyesports has updated their plans for their 2025 Counter-Strike calendar with the Indian tournament organiser set to host only one Tier 1 event, moving away from their original plans of hosting three. Skyesports will also host two Tier 2 events, which will be the Skyesports Souvenir 2025 National Championship and one yet to be announced event.

The Skyesports Souvenir 2025 was initially cancelled by the organiser before they switched it to an open-for-all India-only ranked event, which is set to take place later in February, between February 27 and March 1, 2025 at the GAFX 2025.

The Skyesports Souvenir 2025 National Championship will be Skyesports' first event of the year and will be supported by the Government of Karnataka. Additionally, Skyesports has stated that to support the Tier 2 scene, they will host one more Tier 2 event later in the year, details of which haven't been announced yet.

Tier 1 events

Skyesports has revealed that they will host one Tier 1 event, which will be the Skyesports Masters 2025, held between November 10 to November 16, 2025. This will be replacing the Skyesports World Tour on their original calendar. Valve has given the organiser an exception to reduce the prize pool and update the tournament format.

The prize pool, which was initially $500k will now be $350k.

The event will have 18 Global VRS ranked teams from rank #1 onwards (invite date October 1, 2025) and 2 Wildcard invites. The top 4 ranked teams will move to the main event while the rest 16 teams will be battling it out in an online closed qualifier.

Details for the online closed qualifier are as follows:

  • The Skyesports Masters 2025 Online Closed Qualifier will be held between October 13 to October 20, 2025

  • The 16 teams will fight it out in an online Swiss stage with the top 4 moving to the main event.
