Breaking: Skyesports Souvenir cancelled

Dust2 India has received an official statement from Skyesports stating that their upcoming $250,000 tournament, Skyesports Souvenir 2025 has been cancelled.

Skyesports has stated that the tournament organiser applied to Valve to reschedule the event and introduce wildcard invites but with no response from Valve on the matter, they have taken the step to cancel the event.

Skyesports states that "coupled with the current situation surrounding other events and concerns raised by teams about the tournament potentially becoming unranked, we are left with no choice but to cancel the Skyesports Souvenir 2025."

Valve's recent mail to tournament organisers spoke about that if the events in 2025 required changes would an need exception, which could be a reason for Skyesports requiring and asking Valve for an exception to reschedule the event.

The update comes just days after Skyesports had revealed that Skyesports Souvenir 2025 would be taking place in Bengaluru between February 27 - March 1, 2025 at the GAFX event. The event was billed as the 'Biggest Esports Tournament of India'.
