The Huns eliminate Chinggis Warriors
The quarter-final games continue at the BLAST Rising Asia Spring 2025 and it was Chinggis Warriors taking on The Huns in the penultimate quarter-final. Chinggis Warriors booked their BLAST Rising Asia Spring 2025 slot through the closed qualifier and The Huns had secured a direct invite based on their VRS placement.
The bo3 started on Ancient where The Huns displayed a strong CT-side before fumbling their 7-0 lead, letting Chinggis Warriors slip away with a 5-7 half. However, it did not come back to bite The Huns, as they put up a near-flawless T-side with Veccil and nin9 putting up great impact plays.
Chinggis Warriors returned the favor on Inferno as ROUX put up a 2.44 rating CT-side, dropping 20 frags in just the first half with an ADR of 145 to fetch Chinggis Warriors a massive 10-2 lead in the first half. Chinggis Warriors won the pistol and anti-eco further tightening their grip on Inferno, closing out the map 13-5.
The decider took us to Nuke, where The Huns started on the CT-side and completely derailed Chinggis Warriors' T-side. The trio of Bart4k, xeroite and nin9 wreaked havoc on their Mongolian counterparts, securing a match-winning 11-1 lead for The Huns. Pistol and anti-eco wins laid the founding steps for a potential comeback but the climb was too steep for Chinggis Warriors as The Huns closed out Nuke 13-3, wrapping the series 2-1.
The Huns have booked the third semi-final slot at the BLAST Rising Asia Spring 2025 and Chinggis Warriors end their run in the quarter-final. The Huns will face either TYLOO or UR in their semi-final game.
