Gods Reign takes on Victores Sumus

With Victores Sumus humiliating Flshbck Gaming in the Consolidation Final, we have the Grand Finalists confirmed for the Skyesports Souvenir National Championship 2025. It will be a rematch of the Upper Bracket semi-final as Victores Sumus will once again face Gods Reign with Benzene and co. looking to extract revenge.

Gods Reign were the first team to make the Grand Finals, as Bhavi and his boys ran through Victores Sumus in the Upper Bracket semi-final, picking up a clean 2-0 with Ph1NNN starting the event in spectacular fashion, dropping a 1.85 rating in the match. Gods Reign faced their old foes, Flshbck Gaming in the Upper Bracket final, where they wiped DEFAULTER and co. on Ancient before closing out the series on Mirage with impact from f1redup seeing them through on Mirage and into the Grand Final.

Victores Sumus on the other hand, started the tournament with a 2-13 loss on Train in their opening series against Gods Reign but have fought back in stunning style. The loss to Gods Reign in the Upper Bracket game dropped them to the lower bracket elimination game where they faced Crazy_Gamer and SpawN's Big W. Taking on an experienced Big W squad, it was the Benzene show with arakyN finding impact late of which saw Victores Sumus 2-0 their way into the Conslidation final. The Consolidation Final saw them face one of the tournament favourites, Flshbck, boasting of stars like DEFAULTER, reV3nnnn, clouda and EmbeR. It was clinical from Victores Sumus has they made their way into the Final following a clean 2-0, taking down the veteran squad.

The Grand Final will be a rematch of the opening round game with both teams looking to pick up their first LAN trophy of the year. Gods Reign have come into the Final without dropping a single map and have had same score lines in both their BO3 series wins. Victores Sumus meanwhile, after their opening round loss also went flawless in the lower bracket, without dropping a map. Ph1NNN and f1redup head into the Final as the top 2 highest rated players (1.56 and 1.33 respectively) while arakyN is Victores Sumus' highest rated player with a 1.24 rating while Benzene is close behind with 1.22.

Not only is a LAN trophy on the line but also a prize money of INR 250,000 for the winner with the runner up set to take from INR 150,000. While Gods Reign might start as the favourites, Victores Sumus' lower bracket form has shown that they are no pushovers which should spell for an exciting BO3 encounter on our hands.
