Falcons shuts down G2 to win PGL Bucharest 2025
Saudi Arabian organisation Falcons won their first CS2 trophy as kyxsan and co. took down G2 in final to win the PGL Bucharest 2025. The title triumph completes a stunning run from Falcons, who started the tournament with two losses to Complexity and GamerLegion and being 0-2 and with the backs against the wall, NiKo and co. have completed the full sweep to take the title.
The Grand Final kicked off with Falcons' CT side on Mirage retake a 3v5 to race away to a 7-0 lead. G2 managed to pick up a couple of T rounds to close the half. It was Falcons' captain kyxsan and the Big Green of degster who found major impact on their T-side off the back of a force buy win to see Falcons start the Grand Final with a dominant 13-5 win to draw first blood in the series.
Nuke started with G2's CT side getting things underway and it looked like they would start in similar fashion to how Falcons started Mirage, but they dropped a round to the eco-buy which saw Falcons build on the momentum to take a 7-5 lead. A stellar defensive hold with Magisk shutting things down saw Falcons ease to a 13-7 win. Ancient saw G2 kick things off with a double HeavyGod opener to lock in the T side pistol but Falcons replied with the upgraded pistols. G2 hit back with a force to take early control on their T side but a couple of multi-kill rounds from NiKo and Magisk saw Falcons find their footing to take a two round lead. The T side saw NiKo open up both sites for Falcons saw the breezed to a 13-8 win to seal the Grand Final 3-0.
By winning the $1,250,000 tournament, the Falcons win their first LAN CS2 trophy and walk away with the prize money of $200k.
