Gods Reign fall to The Huns
Gods Reign suffered a 0-2 loss to The Huns in their upper bracket semi-final match at the PGL Astana 2025 Rest of Asia Closed Qualifier, with Bhavi's boys now dropping to the lower bracket and have no scope for any error moving ahead.
The Huns' pick of Dust2 kicked off with yAmi and nin9 powering the Mongolian side to a 7-0 start on their CT half before a Bhavi and R2B2 full house got Gods Reign first round on the board. It was Bhavi's openers that helped Gods Reign manage to lock in three T rounds but that was all as cobra triple in the second half pistol put The Huns on the way to a dominating 13-4 win.
Ancient kicked off with an R2B2 triple handing Gods Reign the T-side pistol but The Huns got on the board immediately as soon as they brought out the guns to end their CT half with a two-round lead. The Mongolian side squared out the pistols on Ancient and quickly went on to take a 10-5 lead before f1redup's AWP found impact to get Gods Reign's defensive half going. The Big Green from f1redup tried to keep the Indian team in the game but The Huns made sure there was no comeback chance as they closed Ancient at 13-8 to lock in the series 2-0.
The Huns' win puts them through to the upper bracket final, where they will take on HOTU while Gods Reign will fight for survival tomorrow against Eruption in the lower bracket semi-final.
