fnatic send 5yclone to Group C Last Chance Stage

fnatic brush aside the Chinese team

Both teams looking to keep their ESL Pro League Season 18 campaign afloat, fnatic faced 5yclone in the Group C lower bracket semifinal.

5yclone's pick of Inferno was the opening map and it was a 3-0 start for fnatic starting on the T side. An advent and Moseyuh double saw 5yclone take their first round and a Mercury AK triple from cubby saw the Chinese team make it two in a row. JamYoung and kaze on the A site held on to a 3v4 to see 5yclone make it 6 in a row. It was another double from Mercury from cubby once again which saw 5yclone win out the half and it was 8-7 lead for them.

afro's AWP was crucial for fnatic on both maps

The trio of KRIMZ, dexter and afro shut down an Apartments execute to give fnatic the second pistol and afro's triple FAMAS from Long saw fnatic retake the lead of the map. fnatic started with five in a row before 5yclone with upgraded pistols turned around a 4v5 to take their first T round. It was a back and forth half as both teams kept trading rounds but it was a dexter crucial triple that saw fnatic secure map point in round 29. An afro double opener helped fnatic to close out the map at 16-14 and it was the French AWPer who topped the scoreboard with 21 kills.

afro kicked off fnatic's pick of Vertigo with a 1v2 on the CT side. Like Inferno it was another 3-0 start from fnatic before 5yclone on upgraded pistols rushed mid to B to take their first round. It was afro's AWP once again causing all sorts of problem for 5yclone and it was a KRIMZ smoke defuse to deny JamYoung an ace clutch, which saw fnatic win out the half. Moseyuh ended the half with a double opener to give 5yclone their fourth T round but it was fnatic with the 11-4 lead.

Mercury and kaze combined to give 5yclone a much needed second pistol on the CT side. A B hit which saw fnatic walk into an empty site saw them pick up the first gun round after 5yclone started with two in a row. roeJ's double opener saw fnatic secure 13 and also break 5yclone's economy. which more or less secured 5yclone's fate. JamYoung denied fnatic map point, coming in with an incredible 1v3 on the A site but KRIMZ opened the B site and dexter's triple helped fnatic take map, match and series point and three CT rounds were all 5yclone could manage as fnatic closed out the map at 16-7 with afro on top of the scoreboard once again with 21 kills.
