Ph1NNN set to leave Gods Reign in pursuit of international glory
After almost two years playing for Gods Reign, 21-year-old Indian rifler Ph1NNN has decided to move in a different direction. Ph1NNN's contract with Gods Reign is set to expire of 27th April 2025 and Dust2 India has confirmed with the star Indian rifler that he won't be renewing it.
He joined Gods Reign in June 2023, right before the Skyesports Masters 2023, and led his team to victory, averaging a 1.33 rating in the playoffs. Ph1NNN went on to show immaculate consistency, especially when the stakes were high. In the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Asia RMR Open Qualifiers, Gods Reign finished at the top thanks to a 1.53-rated performance from him.
Even in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR Closed Qualifier, Ph1NNN maintained a strong 1.17 rating and nearly secured an RMR spot for his side. During his tenure with Gods Reign, Ph1NNN lifted the Skyesports Souvenir 2023 trophy and the Skyesports Souvenir 2025 National Championship trophy. In the latter, the rifler posted an impressive 1.49 rating. He was also part of the winning lineup at 12 Dust2 India - 1XBET Masters tournaments.
In a conversation with Dust2 India, Ph1NNN expressed his desire to play in an international team. He stated that his decision to leave Gods Reign is driven by personal growth, and marks the end of his time with Indian teams. At the moment, it remains uncertain where Ph1NNN will go next.
Dust2 India asked Ph1NNN the reason behind leaving Gods Reign, and this was his response:
For that, there are a lot of reasons. For now I can say I wanted personal growth and about my next team, I have no idea. I think this would be my end playing in Indian teams. I would prefer playing in international teams moving forward
