G2 pip Grayhound to take first CS2 win

Grayhound puts up a valiant fight

One of the two home teams, Grayhound got their IEM Sydney 2023 campaign underway against G2 as the latter were looking to start their CS2 journey with a win while Grayhound were looking to keep their CS2 record flawless.

It was a dominating first half for G2, starting on the T side on Nuke as they went on to take a dominating 9-3 lead after starting off with the pistol win. An INS 1v3 saw Grayhound take a much needed second half pistol which gave them the momentum to tie the score at 11-11.

A HooXi triple saw G2 secure match point and G2 made sure they didn't suffer a shock upset as they hung on for a 13-11 win. Grayhound now drop into the Lower Bracket as their hopes of playing in front of their home crowd now hang by a thread.
