GODS REIGN REVERSE SWEEP THE HUNS TO KEEP ASIA MRQ RUN GOING

Gods Reign turn up in style

Gods Reign kept their hopes of making it to the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 after taking down The Huns in the lower bracket game 2-1, coming back in the series after losing the opening map. After a poor performance on the opening day, Gods Reign turned up in much better shape to stay alive at the Asia Regional Qualifier.

Rossi denied yAmi a 1v2 to see Gods Reign pick up the CT pistol on The Huns' pick of Dust2. The Mongolian side answered back with a force buy B hit and raced away to a four round lead on their T half. The CT pistol for The Huns saw the run away to an 11-4 score line before Gods Reign's T side finally woke up to pick up a couple of rounds. Impact from Bhavi and Ph1NNN saw Gods Reign bring it to a one-round game. A mixed buy with a couple of Five-Sevens saw The Huns stop an A hit to hit match point and The Huns held on for a 13-10 win.

A brawl at middle and Donut saw The Huns start Ancient with the pistol. The Huns started with three in a row, converting against the eco and force before a B hit got Gods Reign on the board in the first gun round of the map and the Indian team wasted no time going on to take the lead on their T side. With Ph1NNN coming in hot to Ancient, Gods Reign started Ancient with a 9-3 lead. Ph1NNN's smoke defuse in a 1v2 retake on the B site saw Gods Reign hit double digits but a force buy hit from The Huns saw them bring it down to a two round game before a B retake thanks to a triple from f1redup's AWP got Gods Reign to their 11th round. The Huns threatened to push to overtime but Gods Reign held on for a 13-11 win with the Indian team turning around a 4v5 in the final round of the map.

Ph1NNN stepped up on Ancient for the Indian team when they needed him the most, dropping 24 kills with an ADR of 85.4

Gods Reign's T side got the decider on Inferno underway and the Indian team managed to take a two round lead despite dropping a couple of rounds to lower buys from The Huns. A Rossi and f1redup double saw Gods Reign convert a 3v5 to lock in their T side pistol and it was the f1redup and Rossi duo that saw Gods Reign hold on against the upgraded pistol buy.

f1redup's solo B hold on a round with one AWP and couple of pistols saw Gods Reign steal match point and the Indian team made the full comeback stick to reverse sweep the series and win Inferno 13-6 to take the series 2-1 with f1redup topping the scoreboard on Inferno with 23 kills.

The win sees Gods Reign keep themselves alive at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Asia Regional Qualifier and they also eliminate The Huns from the MRQ. Gods Reign will face Chinggis Warriors in the consolidation final tomorrow.
