PGL Major 2024: Rest of Asia qualifier begins tomorrow

15+ Indian teams in the mix

The long awaited Rest of Asia qualifier for the PGL Copenhagen 2024 Major gets underway tomorrow, 16th January 2024. The open qualifier sends four teams to the closed qualifier alongside invited teams.

The opportunity is an unmissable one, especially for Indian teams, given that India is one of the server hosting locations for the open qualifier. Registrations for the open qualifier will close at 12:45PM IST on 16th January 2024.

A maximum of 128 teams will compete in the open qualifier, battling it out in a single elimination bracket. Top eight teams will undergo one round of Bo3s for qualification and elimination, after which the bracket reverts to a Bo1 setting.

Top eight teams from the open qualifier will advance to the closed qualifier. The closed qualifier will run a double-elimination bracket with elimination matches being Bo3s.

One team from the closed qualifier will make it to the Asia-Pacific RMR. The RMR will feature eight teams, including open qualifiers winners from different regions. A top two finish in the Asia-Pacific RMR will lock the deal and seal an appearance at Counter-Strike 2's first Major at Copenhagen.
