SAW, Eternal Fire and AMKAL headed to Major
The team list for the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 keeps getting bigger as we got two more names confirmed for the first-ever Counter-Strike 2 Major.
AMKAL took on 9 Pandas with the winner booking their spot in Copenhagen. 9 Pandas started strong with a 13-6 win on AMKAL's pick of Inferno but AMKAL held on for a 13-11 victory on Overpass before taking the series 2-1 after a 13-9 win on Nuke.
SAW meanwhile faced fnatic in their match. SAW started with a 13-5 win on their pick of Vertigo before running through fnatic 13-4 on Overpass to sweep the series 2-0, SAW not only qualifies for the Major but also are the first-ever Portuguese team to make it to a Counter-Strike Major.
And finally it was Eternal Fire going up against BetBoom. XANTARES and co. began with a 13-7 win on BetBoom's pick of Mirage before stomping BetBoom 13-1 on Vertigo to make sure they were attending the first CS2 Major.
