The MongolZ fall to Falcons to miss out on PGL Bucharest 2025 Playoffs
The MongolZ fell to Falcons, getting reverse swept by NiKo and co. in the final 2-2 bracket game at the PGL Bucharest 2025 to miss out on the final Playoffs spot, with Falcons locking in the Playoffs spot over the Asian squad. The MongolZ, who started the tournament in a poor fashion, were down 0-2 after the opening two games before picking up big wins against FURIA and Liquid but fell at the final hurdle to Falcons.
Mirage kicked off with a team ace from Falcons seeing them pick up the CT pistol before a force buy B hit saw The MongolZ get going on their T side. A NiKo 1v2 and a low buy were the highlights of Falcons' defensive hold as The MongolZ ran away to an 8-4 lead. Falcons locked in both pistols on Mirage but fell to the force buy once again, which paved the way for a 13-9 win for The MongolZ.
degster's AWP put up a stellar defence for Falcons to kick off their pick of Dust2 as they went 9-3 up and with NiKo finding form after a cold Mirage, it was Bosnian leading the way for Falcons to tie up the series with a 13-6 win. Ancient, the series decider kicked off with a tight opening half and while The MongolZ looked like they might run away on their CT half, it was degster once again with impact along with TeSeS stepping up that saw Falcons hit map point first but The MongolZ held on against two map points to push it to overtime.
mzinho clutched out a smoke defuse 1v2 to deny Falcons a clean sweep on their T side to get overtime underway. A TeSeS triple mow down, being the only defender on A site, put Falcons on match point and kyxsan's boys held on for a nervy 16-14 win.
