StarLadder announce StarSeries return

StarLadder took to X to announce the return of their iconic StarSeries Counter-Strike tournaments. StarLadder held the first StarSeries event all the way back in 2012 and have run 18 iterations of StarSeries (& i-League) till 2019.

With the first returning event set to take place in May 2025, here's a quick look at the timeline for 2025 and 2026 announced by StarLadder:

• Season 19: 26th May - 1st June, 2025

• Season 20: 12th September - 21st September, 2025

• Season 21: 25th May - 31st May, 2026

• Season 22: 11th September - 20th September, 2026

These events will feature 16 teams in each iteration and worldwide qualifiers will be accommodated for the same. The conclusion of the first CS2 Major was followed by PGL announcing their plans to host a handful of tier 1 events across 2025 and 2026.

StarLadder has mentioned that the "significant increase in the number of professional teams" had a big role alongside the new CS2 licensing rules and large number of tournaments, in their push to return with Counter-Strike events.
