Team ROG send home Carnival Gaming

Following their upset over Marcos Gaming, ROG took on SpawN and co.'s Carnival Gaming in the lower bracket elimination game.

After initial back and forth trades on Inferno, Team ROG built themselves a small 5-2 lead on the CT-side but was soon dealt with by Carnival Gaming as Rider stepped up with impact to level the score and keep things competitive at the halfway stage with a 6-6 score line.

The second half's pistol went in favor of Team ROG and they rode the momentum to keep the CTs on their feet and their economy in check. Right when Carnival Gaming were about to level the score, Rayzer stepped up with an impactful clutch, taking Team ROG to match point.

A masterful retake from Carnival Gaming at 10-12 broke Team ROG's economy and put SpawN's team in contention to push the map into overtime but with just a couple of SMGs Team ROG toppled the A-defense, winning Inferno 13-11 and eliminating Carnival Gaming from the NESC CS2 Open 2024.

Team ROG will now face Grayfox Esports in the consolidation finals for a shot at the lower-bracket finals.
