Gladiator's League Season 4 Day 2: Recap

Come Mid continues dominant run

The second day of the INR 50,000 tournament, the Gladiator's League Season 4 saw four BO1s take place with Group 1 and Group 2 action as we saw not only Indian teams but teams from across the border as well showcase their class in the server.

Come Mid vs Khatarnak

The opening game of the day was the Group 1 game which saw Come Mid take on Khatarnak in the India-Pakistan clash with Come Mid starting Dust2 with the CT pistol. Khatarnak replied immediately with the force buy and it was a continuous trade of rounds which saw tied half. The Pakistani team started their T side on an aggressive note and it was a dominant end to the map as they locked in a 13-7 win and knocked Khatarnak out of the event.

Come Mid vs Retaliation

After knocking Khatarnak out of the event, Come Mid were back in action in the Winner's game and taking on Retaliation in the BO1 encounter, which took place on Anubis. While both teams had made it through to the quarter-finals, this was a seeding game to decide the standings from Group 1.

Retaliation started with the pistol on their defensive side and held on against a scary force from the Pakistani team. A B hit as soon as they brought out the guns saw Come Mid get on the board. After five straight rounds it was Crush's AWP on the A site that shut down Come Mid to give Retaliation their third. Retaliation managed to salvage the half with five rounds Come Mid got their defence off with three in a row before Retaliation got their T side going with a eco win. Retaliation fought hard but the Pakistani team was just too strong for them as Come Mid closed out the match at 13-8. It was the Rky- show on Anubis, who dropped 25 kills with SOULM8 and HsB also having strong performances with 20 and 17 kills respectively.

Griffins Esports vs Old School Esports

Group 2's action kicked off with Griffins Esports going up against Old School Esports with the action taking place on Mirage.

iFRAGEZ's triple saw Griffins start with the CT pistol. Following a couple of rounds which were traded by both teams, it was a SupAnd1 1v2 which propelled Griffins to end half strongly with a 8-4 lead. Griffins ran away to a 12-5 lead before Old School Esports fought back to bring it to a two-round game. Griffins eventually closed it out at 13-10, denying Old School Esports a chance to take it to overtime.

The win sees Griffins move into the Upper Bracket while the loss sees Old School Esports drop to the Lower Bracket.

Lethals vs ROG Academy

The final game of the day saw ROG Academy and Lethal face each other in the Group 2 game with Mirage being the battleground once again.

V1P3R's smoke defuse saw Lethals start with the CT pistol but ChAmP held on in a 1v1 against LeSpank in the force to answer back for ROG. ROG were all over the map and Lethals, starting with a one-sided opening half, going 9-3 half. Lethal fought back on their T side but the first half deficit proved to be a bit too much as ROG hung on for a 13-9 win to secure a spot in the Upper Bracket while Lethal drops to the Lower Bracket.
