IESF Regional qualifiers schedule announced

Indian women's team directly qualifies to Chengdu

ESFI took to X, to announce the schedule for the IESF regional qualifiers for leading up to the 16th WEC. Team India will face Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal in four bo1 matches on 3rd and 4th July 2024. The Counter-Strike 2 tournaments carry a combined prize pool of $400,000 USD split between male and female tournaments at the WEC 2024.

The South-Asian qualifier will feature teams from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal going through a round-robin iteration after which the top two secure Asian Esports Championship (AEC) 2024 invites. All matches including qualification and elimination matches will be played out as bo1s.

Team India's matches at the South-Asian qualifier:

  • India vs Bangladesh: 3rd July 2024 at 03:30PM IST

  • India vs Pakistan: 3rd July 2024 at 04:30PM IST

  • India vs Nepal: 4th July 2024 at 04:30PM IST

  • India vs Sri Lanka: 4th July 2024 at 05:30PM IST

Being the only candidate from South-Asia the Indian women's Counter-Strike 2 lineup receives a direct AEC 2024 invite.

WEC 2024 will take place in November 2024 featuring 24 teams in a round-robin across four groups, sending top three teams from each group to a single-elimination bracket playoffs where all matches are Bo3s.
