Rare Atom fightback to send Alter Ego home
The first semi-final of the 5E Arena Asia Cup Fall 2024 BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Qualifier saw Alter Ego go up against Rare Atom.
Alter Ego's pick of Dust2 got things underway. Alter Ego looked set to start with a lead on their T side but it was kaze's AWP that made sure Rare Atom were in the game, as it was a tied-half to start Dust2. kaze's reign on Dust2 continued on their T side as Rare Atom closed things out at 13-7 with kaze topping the scoreboard with 22 kills.
Mirage saw Rare Atom start their map pick with a two-round lead on the T side but a near-flawless T side from Alter Ego with BnTeT and XigN powering up saw Alter Ego tie up the series following a 13-8 win. Following a 6-0 lead on the decider on Ancient, Rare Atom fought back to keep it to a two-round deficit for themselves. A much closer second half with SOMEBODY stepping up saw Rare Atom power up towards the end of the half and run away with a 13-10 win to lock in the series.
The 2-1 series win now has Rare Atom move into the Grand Final of the 5E Arena Cup Fall 2024 - BLAST Premier Qualifier with a spot at the Fall Showdown up for grabs.
