Victores Sumus misses out on Asia RMR Closed Qualifier
Victores Sumus were looking to book a place in the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier as the third Indian team but after a strong opening day at the Asia RMR Open Qualifier, the Indian team faltered on Day 2 and exited the Open Qualifier after going down to ONi in the 5th - 6th place decider game.
The series kicked off with ONi's pick of Ancient which went to overtime as the Philippines squad hung on for a 16-14 win with Jaytzy and clyd1e standing out with 36 and 29 kills respectively. The Indian team bounced back in style on their own pick of Inferno, picking up a massive 13-3 win as arakyN starred, dropping 20 kills in 16 rounds with an ADR of 105. Unfortunately on the series decider on Anubis, the Indian team failed to turn up as ONi started with a huge 11-1 CT side lead and closed out the series with a 13-1 win on Anubis.
The 1-2 series loss meant that Victores Sumus, who had made the Asia RMR Closed Qualifiers for the Copenhagen Major, exits the Asia RMR Open Qualifier in 7-8th place. ONi meanwhile become the final team to book themselves a place in the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier.
