Victores Sumus go down to Revenge
The first quarter-final at the Asia RMR Open Qualifier saw Victores Sumus go up against Revenge with the Indian team looking to lock in a Closed Qualifier spot. The series kicked off on Victores Sumus' pick of Nuke.
Revenge started Nuke with an eight-round T side and saw off a spirited comeback attempt from the Indian team to start the series with a 13-10 win with nesh having a strong performance, dropping 25 kills. Dust2 started with Victores Sumus picking up the pistol on their CT side to go 3-0 up before a strong T-sided finish to the half from the Kyrgyzstani squad saw them take a two-round lead.
While there was a fightback from the Indian team on their T side which pushed the map to overtime, Revenge hung on in overtime for a 16-14 win with nesh on top of the score board once again, with 29 kills.
The win means the Kyrgyzstani team has booked their place in the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier while Victores Sumus drops to the lower bracket and will face ONi CLAN in the 5th-6th place decider game. The lower bracket game is an elimination game for Victores Sumus, who need a win to make it to the Asia RMR Closed Qualifier.
