Victores Sumus sees off FiredUp Gaming scare

The game of the opening day at Phase II of the eXTREMESLAND CS2 Asia Open 2024 India Qualifiers saw Victores Sumus take on FiredUp Gaming in the BO3 series and unlike the other matches of the day which were absolute blowouts, we saw a fairly even game.

The opening map of the series was Dust2, which went to triple overtime as Victores Sumus hung on for a 22-18 win as BENZENE ended up with 31 kills to get Victores Sumus over the line. FiredUp Gaming, though, bounced back in style on Ancient to pick up a 13-8 win to push the series to a decider on Anubis. Anubis saw Victores Sumus give FiredUp Gaming no shot at a reverse-sweep as they ran away with a big 13-3 win to lock in the series 2-1.
