s1mpe's CS2 return now official
Through a post on X, Falcons has announced the return of one of the most prolific AWPers in Counter-Strike. s1mple is now back on a 3-months loan to Falcons. s1mple's return was a talking point from the past week, with his FACEIT match history surfacing on social media.
s1mple will replace SunPayus who was the highest rated player for Falcons up until this point. The Saudi organization has been in the spotlight since it's arrival to the competitive scene and has struggled to make any impact. s1mple himself played for the org previously on a loan agreement.
s1mple has been away from the competitive scene for a quite a while now and his discontent with this new iteration of Counter-Strike is no secret. s1mple's debut with Falcons will come at the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, a $80,000 USD online tournament.
s1mple followed up the announcement with a post of his own expressing his eagerness to return to the scene. "Time to be back at LAN, that’s was my goal from the very beginning - to play the Shanghai Major!" says s1mple in his post on X.
