Rare Atom go down to Johnny Speeds
With the Shanghai Major 2024 Asia RMR just around the corner, Rare Atom are making sure they have no dearth of match time and the Chinese team is currently participating in the $10,000 online tournament 500 Casino Halloween Cup 2024. The Chinese squad faced Johnny Speeds in their opening game of the tournament and was unable to overcome the Swedish challenge in the Group A BO1 opener.
The BO1 took place on Ancient which saw Rare Atom take the T-sided pistol before Johnny Speeds replied with the force thanks to bobeksde's Deagle. The Swedes made it five in a row before L1haNg and ChildKing pulled it back to lock in five T-rounds.
It was L1haNg and ChildKing doing the heavy-lifting again in the second half pistol which saw them quickly go on to tie up the game before Johnny Speeds got going as soon as they brought out the guns. Five T-rounds in a row saw Johnny Speeds take control and kill any of Rare Atom's comeback chances which saw Johnny Speeds close out the match at 13-8.
The loss means that Rare Atom will be fighting out in the Group A elimination game later on today against the loser of the Gaimin Gladiators - Endpoint match.
