Rare Atom go down to kyousuke and co.
Rare Atom saw off a challenge from CYBERSHOKE earlier in the day to keep themselves alive at the Hellcase Cup 11 but in the Group B decider game, the Chinese team fell to kyosuke and co.'s Spirit Academy once again which eliminated them from the online event.
Spirit Academy got things going in stye on their pick of Vertigo, starting with a 10-round T side before Rare Atom fought back on their own T half. Overtime was a possibility but Spirit Academy held on for a 13-10 win to draw first blood in the series. Rare Atom turned it around on their pick of Mirage, starting with a strong T side of their own on Mirage but the defense from the Chinese team wasn't enough as syph0 abd robo sent Rare Atom home following a 11-13 loss.
The top two teams from the four groups will be joined by 8 invited teams for the Round of 16 stage, which means Rare Atom's third place finish in Group B ends their campaign.
The loss sees Rare Atom, who are currently bootcamping in Europe to prepare for the upcoming Shanghai Major RMR, continue to struggle in Europe as the Chinese team have now won just one of their last five BO3s.
