f0rest bids farewell to Counter-Strike

A historic career comes to an end

After over a decade of Counter-Strike, Swedish legend f0rest has bid farewell to his career. In an interview with HLTV, the 36 year old legend announced that he will be retiring, closing the chapters on one of the most storied careers in esports history.

f0rest joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in August 2012, and remained a part of their core till January 2020. In his tenure for NIP, he claimed victory at the ESL One Cologne 2014 Major, and was named the 2nd best player of 2013, 7th best of 2014, 16th best of 2015, and 7th best of 2016. He also bagged 7 MVPs and averaged a 1.12 rating.

After leaving NIP, he reunited with long-time teammates GeT_RiGhT, friberg, and Xizt under the Dignitas banner. Two years later, the organization pulled out of the game, leaving him a free agent as of June 2022. Now, after over two years on the sidelines, he has officially announced his retirement.
