MESA Asian Masters to award 1 PGL Bucharest 2025 slot

Through a post on X, MESA have announced that their upcoming tournament- MESA Asian Masters will server as the Asian qualifier for PGL Bucharest 2025, a $1,250,000 USD S-tier tournament that will take place in Romania in April 2025. The only way an Asian team without an invite can make it to the tournament is through the MESA Asian Masters.

The open qualifiers for the MESA Asian Masters will begin right after the second week of February on 14th February 2025 and will conclude on 23rd February 2025. Following the open qualifiers, Stage 1 (Regionals) will happen between 24th and 27th February 2025 which sends eight teams to the final phase- A LAN event in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The LAN finals will take place in the first week of March between 6th and 9th March 2025.

The LAN finals will send one team straight to the main event- PGL Bucharest 2025. Teams from Asia, Oceania and MENA can register for the open qualifiers through the following links:

These open qualifiers will run a single-elimination bracket with games towards the latter end switching to bo3s. PGL Bucharest 2025 starts with sixteen teams in a Swiss System Format, from which eight teams make it to the single-elimination playoffs.
