The MongolZ ended up winning the series against Liquid

SPUNJ walks out after Liquid's ultimate fumble against The MongolZ

ultimate baits teammate and whiffs with the USP

Two days into the IEM Katowice 2025, the event has already delivered some great games and fans have witnessed electrifying Counter-Strike throughout the course of these first nine games. Alongside 3DMAX pushing Vitality to their limits, NiKo and m0NESY squaring off in the Falcons-G2 game and Virtus.pro stunning G2 with a 0-2 came a rather hilarious moment towards the end of day 2.

The penultimate game of the second day featured the only NA representative at the event, Liquid take on the only Asian representative at the event, The MongolZ. The MongolZ have been playing at their peak for a while and pushed Asian Counter-Strike a couple of steps forward with their excellent showing at the recently concluded Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

Liquid's game against The MongolZ started with Liquid securing their map pick Nuke after displaying a solid CT-side but ultimate's performance was the hanging chad. The Polish AWPer had a "miserable" outing on the AWP-friendly Nuke as SPUNJ states while casting the second map. The MongolZ started on the T-side in the second map, Mirage and went for a B push in the pistol round. A bold USP 3K play from NertZ netted Liquid a 3v2 advantage but what followed, drew an outrage from SPUNJ who was casting the game alongside Machine.

Playing from jail, ultimate let 910 cross and held the trigger instead of going for the kill straight away which led to 910 taking down NAF on B-short making it a 2v2. ultimate then gets spotted by a returning 910 and in a last ditch effort, he tries to get the frag on bLitz but an instant glock headshot from 910 aim-punched ultimate's crosshair into the clear northern skies, dying without getting a single frag after spotting two enemies with their backs turned. 910 then swings and takes down Twistzz towards the market door as The MongolZ stole a 3v2 in the pistol round.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!" cried out SPUNJ, after ultimate baited his teammate and then proceeded to whiff on an enemy who was facing away. SPUNJ did not hold back, letting out his thoughts and emotions, calling out ultimate for his questionable decision making. "Can I take a timeout? I'm actually leaving the room." said SPUNJ as Machine confirmed that he walked out of the room. SPUNJ walking out was not shown on stream but the tone of his voice and the gentle thud his headset made as he placed it on the table, might suggest that SPUNJ was not entirely happy.
