The MongolZ's Katowice dreams dashed by Vitality
After creating history to become the first-ever Asian team to make the Playoffs at Katowice, The MongolZ kept moving up as they made the semi-finals but the top four was as far as they could get as they were handed a hefty beating by Vitality in the first semi-final which saw Vitality become the first team to lock in a Grand Final spot at IEM Katowice 2025.
The MongolZ's aggressive T side made sure they didn't let Vitality run away with the CT side on the Asian's team's pick of Mirage. A sloppy 1v1 from mzinho against ZywOo and an impactful AWP round from the French AWPer saw Vitality steal a two round lead at the half. With Vitality's captain stepping up and leading from the front, Vitality's T side saw them run away to a 13-7 win.

mzinho's Dualies made sure The MongolZ won their first pistol round in the series as they kicked off Nuke with the defensive pistol before ropz got Vitality on the board as soon as they brought out the guns in the third round. Once Vitality's big guns got going, it was one way traffic and even though on a couple of low buys, The MongolZ got the round close, it was Vitality running away with a 8-4 half. Vitality dropped a couple of sloppy CT rounds which gave The MongolZ a couple of T rounds but it was Vitality closing the map at 13-9 to secure the series in a 2-0 manner.
