
Spirit make light work of The Huns in BLAST Lisbon opener
In a David and Goliath battle at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 Group A upper bracket quarter-final, it was Spirit running through Mongolia's The Huns in an expected lop-sided encounter which saw donk and co. clean up The Huns 2-0.
The Huns' pick of Anubis was a quick B hit help the Mongolian side start with the T-side pistol after a clean conversion against the eco, it was a 1v2 from magixx that saw Spirit on the board in the first gun round of the map. yAmi's double saw The Huns hit back instantly with a B spilt but they dropped the following round to one saved M4A1-S and pistols. The Huns answered with a low buy of their own on the A site and it was a 1v3 from nin9 in the final round of the half which saw The Huns take a two round lead at the break. Once donk woke up on the T side, it was a quick finish in the second half as Spirit raced to a 13-8 win.
donk continued on his merry way as Spirit headed into their pick of Dust2 with donk powering Spirit to an 11-1 lead on their T side before easing to a 13-4 win to close the series 2-0.
