ESL to continue Grand Slam without Intel

ESL, Intel end 7-year Grand-Slam partnership

The iconic, prestigious Intel Grand Slam will henceforth run it's course as the ESL Grand Slam, removing Intel's name from the initiative. Currently Vitality, NAVI and MOUZ are in the Grand Slam race in the fifth season.

Seven years ago, Intel helped us start the Grand Slam. Now, beginning with ESL Pro League Season 21, it will continue as the ESL Grand Slam.

Speculations about the future of the Intel Grand Slam arose during ESL Pro League Season 21 when the tournament organizer referred to the initiative as the "ESL Grand Slam" on social media and infographics.

The initiative was referred to as the Intel Grand Slam, one last time at IEM Katowice 2025, when ESL announced a multi-year renewal of their partnership with Intel. At the time, ESL's press release mentioned Intel Grand Slam Season 5 in relation to IEM Katowice 2025.

While ESL did not clarify the reason for Intel's withdrawal from the Grand Slam initiative, some speculate that Intel could be scaling back on their budget as a result of their declining stock value.
