SemperFi start Oceania MRQ with a 2-0 win

The first game in the Oceanic MRQ leading up to the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major saw SemperFi take on ex-TALON. The first map of the series took us to Dust2 where ADDICT, hazr put up impact frags early in the half to fetch ex-TALON a 9-3 lead at halftime.

Pistol and anti-eco wins set SemperFi up for a comeback but at 5-9, the Aussies still had a long way to go. Eventually SemperFi took the first gun round, further closing the gap and in no time, they were up 10-9, as ex-TALON struggled to put up any contention on the CT-side. SemperFi put up a flawless T-side spanning 10 rounds to close Dust2 13-9.

Coming in with a 1-0 a lead and a flawless 10-rounds streak on the T-side of Dust2, SemperFi picked up where they left. An impressive T-side showing on Nuke netted them a 9-3 lead. ex-TALON were bullied out of the series in the second half as SemperFi closed out Nuke 13-5, heading into the upper-bracket final after the 2-0 series win.

ex-TALON drop down to the lower-bracket where they either face Rooster or FlyQuest with their backs against elimination.
