OG stomp GODSENT to pick up Brazy Party opening win
In February, OG looked lost at sea after losing their captain, Nemanja 'nexa' Isaković. But recently, they have started to regain form, qualifying for the major and finishing top 8 at IEM Rio. While they lack a proper IGL, with the duties reportedly being shared amongst members, the team still has immense firepower to carry them through easier series.
Kicking off their journey at the Brazy Party, OG picked up a commanding victory over the Swedish squad of GODSENT. The game began on Inferno, with OG securing a quick 4-round lead thanks to a pistol-round conversion. ztr's troops took a minor lead before OG's defence took over the half. flameZ and F1KU combined for 32 frags in the first half to ensure OG kept their lead going into halftime. The attack from OG was a dominant affair, as GODSENT failed to put up any meaningful defence. The International squad quickly ran away with the game and closed it at a 16-7 scoreline.
The second map started much the same. OG raced away to a 7-0 lead, with GODSENT picking up a 5-round streak to keep the half competitive at 10-5. joel's excellent CT side play wasn't quite enough for the team as despite netting 25 frags, the team finished the map with just 9 rounds to their name.
OG now move on to face Apeks in Group A as they look to make a deep run at Brazy Party 2023. As one of the few Major qualified teams at the event, they will be looking to build confidence and practice going into the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
