Dominant performance from Team India at the South Asia Qualifiers
Team India had a clean opening day at the 15th World Esports Championship South Asia Qualifiers as they took down Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in their best-of-one series against their sub-continental neighbours. India now are a win away from qualifying for the Asian Championship.
Team India kicked off their 15th World Esports Championship South Asia Qualifiers against Bangladesh in a best-of-one series. The action got underway on Overpass with Indian taking down Bangladesh 16-9 as f1redup and sk wow put in stellar performances, with both ending with 29 and 25 kills respectively.
The second game saw India take on Sri Lanka on Mirage. India started on the T side and managed to take the pistol but Sri Lanka managed to bounce back on the force-buy. The teams kept on trading rounds as India once again took the lead at 2-1, managing to convert their force buy. India managed to take an early 4-1 lead after taking the force-buy before Sri Lanka managed to win the first gun-round of the game. kucf and hyperrrrr kept Sri Lanka in the first half as India ended the first half with a 9-6 lead and it was N1kace and clouda stepping up with clean entries for their team.
India won the second pistol to increase their lead to 10-6. While Sri Lanka managed to take two gun rounds, it was clouda who was on a roll in the second half, shutting down attack after attack to help India secure the map 16-8.
