GamerLegion takes down fnatic to inch closer to the Playoffs
GamerLegion continue their stellar comeback as they are one win away from heading to the Playoffs at the Paris Major 2023 after they went 2-1 following their win over fnatic.
fnatic and GamerLegion kicked off their 1-1 bracket best-of-one game on Overpass with fnatic starting on the defensive side. fnatic picked up the pistol and after converting the eco from GamerLegion, fnatic converted a 3v4 in the first gun round to go 3-0 up. GamerLegion almost stole a round away with a low buy with only upgraded pistol but KRIMZ won out a crucial 1v1 against iM to keep fnatic's early lead clean. A 1v2 from siuhy saw GamerLegion finally get on the board. siuhy's clutch broke fnatic economy which helped GamerLegion put fours rounds in a row to tie the game before KRIMZ won another 1v1 on the B site to give fnatic their fifth. A couple of crucial rounds from siuhy as he made important calls and backed it up with his fragging, saw GamerLegion end the first half with a 8-7 lead.
FASHR kicked off the second half with an ace-clutch to help fnatic tie up things at 8-8. siuhy and isak kept GamerLegion in the hunt with their multi-kill holds and it helped GamerLegion take a 11-10 lead. fnatic won a 2v3 on the B site which saw them keep the GamerLegion lead in check. GamerLegion held on with the firepower from siuhy, iM and isak being too hot to handle for fnatic as GamerLegion closed out the map at 16-11. siuhy was on top of the scoreboard as he led from the front with 27 kills.
