Nouns schooled by G2 in IEM Dallas 2023 opener
G2 kicked off their IEM Dallas 2023 campaign with a easy win against Nouns. G2 won 16-5 on Inferno with jks and huNter- starring for HooXi's men as they look to bounce back from the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 debacle.
The best-of-one kicked off on Inferno with G2 starting on the CT side. A NiKo double saw G2 pick up the pistol and a huNter- quad kill with the MP9 on the eco round and a clean conversion in the first fun round saw G2 go 3-0 up. huNter- and jks' full house at the A site saw G2 keep their defensive lead flawless at 4-0 before Nouns got their first T side round on the board. cj and MarKE gave Nouns two in a row before G2 on upgraded pistols stole a round away to put up their fifth defensive round. Bwills' 1v1 against NiKo saw Nouns pick up their fourth but jks' triple on a MP9 gave G2 eight, to win out the half. huNter-'s triple kill from small pit saw G2 secure 9 before they closed out the first half with a 11-4 lead.
MarKE's 1v1 against huNter- saw Nouns win the second pistol to secure their fifth but G2's force buy with HooXi's impactful double saw G2 get right back on the board at 12-5. jks' quad kill against the pistols saw G2 move up to 14 and two away from securing the map. A quick B hit saw G2 close out the map at 16-5 and it was huNter- and jks on top of the scoreboard with 25 and 24 kills respectively.
