"We tried a lot of bandage-fixes" - surajS
After a strong start in the tournament, Reckoning Esports have now conceded 2 consecutive losses after an 0-2 against Enigma Gaming and here's Reckoning Esports' IGL surajS opening up on same in an interview with us.
You almost closed out Inferno, can you talk us through Inferno?
"We had a role swap in between on the CT-side because our A-play was pretty bad early game and I wanted to help out there and set things straight. Our A looked solid but then B started falling off, it was this cycle and we were just going for bandage fixes, we just need to go back to the drawing board and think about what we're doing. It's just that we weren't playing good."
After a 4-11 deficit you straight up closed the lead, can you talk us through your comeback phase?
"After we won the starting couple of rounds on our CT-side, reading the game was pretty easy for me on what I wanted my team to do, its just that we tried a lot of bandage fixes and things that we haven't talked about earlier, we're trying to do these in between games and that's a struggle. We need to have more experience in games like this. We made a lot of mistakes on our T-side and put ourselves at 4-11. We settled late into the game on the CT-side."
What is your plan going forward in the tournament?
"We need to look at our mistakes and fix them, have a talk with our coach. It doesn't matter how good an individual plays, we need to get 5 kills as a team to win the round. We have another game tomorrow, last minute preps do not work, we already had a talk about today, hopefully we put up a better performance today."
